Set New Goals This Fall

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

There’s nothing more beautiful than a fresh start. We get to reset our old ways of thinking and behaving, and choose new ones that’ll serve us better.

With the arrival of this new season we can’t help but be extra mindful of our health. Are we eating good foods? Are we staying warm enough? Are we taking our vitamins?

We are all mindful of our bodies this time of the year, especially since we have so many social gatherings and reunions with loved ones from here until the end of the year. But what about our mind and spirit?

Yesterday we celebrated International Mental Health Day. A day to raise awareness to the importance of our mental health, and our spiritual well being.

So today I’m sharing 3 goals I will personally be working on this season to tend to my mind.

1. Meditating

Setting time aside to meditate has become a challenge for me lately since the colder mornings make it hard to wake up early and sit in meditation. I am committed to resume my daily meditation practice, practicing my pranayama exercises and making my mental well being a priority. This practice will help clear my head and focus on the goals at hand.

To aid in my practice, I am incorporating the Flor de Amor Damiana Tincture. It helps prepare the body and the mind for meditation, and I find it gets me in the mood to connect with my non-physical self.

2. Daily Self-Care Practices

Whether it’s listening to your favorite podcast, reading a book while curled up with a cup of tea, or running a hot bath, I’m making it a priority to incorporate at least one self-care ritual into my day. Some days self-care will be being able to eat a meal without distractions, and others may involve an intimacy ritual powered by Flor de Amor’s Damiana Nectar. Spend time with yourself this season.

3. Decluttering and Cleansing

Cleaning my space! This has been on the backburner for a while, but decluttering and cleansing your living space is a great way to get into the season. Taking clothes to donate, cleaning out shelves and drawers help set your space up for success. After that, I like to burn palo santo and sage throughout my house, to make it a space for worship and introspection. A place to call home.

My closet will also get a spritz of freshness by using the damiana mist, which has aphrodisiac benefits, and enhances the joy chakra. I will also be spraying this mist on my yoga mat - it also needs some love!

What are you doing to prepare for this season?
